Meet the dedicated volunteers leading our mission to connect rural children with specialized medical care
Our board members are passionate community leaders who donate their time and expertise to ensure every child in Sanpete County has access to the medical care they need. Together, they guide the Central Utah Tree Festival and oversee how funds are distributed to support families on their healthcare journeys.
Viki Bailey
Viki Bailey is the President and Founder of the Central Utah Tree Festival, a nonprofit organization she established in 2024 to raise funds for children's medical needs while bringing the community together through a holiday tradition. As a nurse practitioner dedicated to pediatric care, Viki's professional experience caring for children and families inspired her to create this event, drawing on her love for the Primary Children's Festival of Trees and her passion for community service. She is a wife, mother of seven, and grandmother of five.
Markell Barclay
Markell Barclay serves as Vice President of the organization and has spent the past few years supporting corporate fundraising, coordinating tree deliveries, and assisting with the legal and operational needs of the nonprofit. Having spent her entire life in Sanpete County—where her family has lived for generations—Markell has a deep connection to the community she serves. She believes in showing up, doing the work, and helping build something meaningful for the place she calls home.
Dana Brotherson
Dana is a proud Sanpete County native, born and raised in Moroni, with turkey dust pumping through her veins from growing up in a hardworking farming family. As the youngest of three, she learned early the value of family, grit, and showing up for the people you love. Dana is married to her high school sweetheart, Scott, and is the proud mom of four and an even prouder grandma—being "Grandma" is her favorite thing in the world. Her roots run deep—and she wouldn’t have it any other way.
Malaree Parry
Malaree grew up in the small town of Nephi, Utah with her three rowdy brothers. She loved the tight-knit community that instilled a deep appreciation for connection and belonging. She now lives in Sanpete County, where her family roots originated. With a passion for teaching, she has spent many years involved in teaching dance, piano, and elementary school. Malaree finds fulfillment in serving others and approaches life with a positive, happy outlook. An avid traveler and book lover, she is always seeking new adventures, hiking trails, and stories. And, of course, she will never turn down the chance to enjoy a little chocolate and Diet Coke!
Jill Branch
Jill was born and raised in Brigham City, Utah. She is a proud graduate of Snow College, where she met her husband, who now works at Snow—making their return to Sanpete County especially meaningful. Jill is a full-time mother to four daughters and finds great joy in family life and community involvement. For many years, she and her family participated in the Festival of Trees by annually donating a tree in honor of her uncle, an Air Force pilot who was killed while flying on duty. She is excited to once again be involved with the Festival of Trees here in Sanpete County.
Jill Carey
Jill Carey lives in Ephraim and brings a wide range of life experience from having lived in many places around the world and throughout the United States. She loves staying active, especially when a workout is paired with good company and a lot of laughs. Jill enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and dogs, and she's an avid reader who loves meaningful conversations about books. Naturally curious, she enjoys getting to know people and understanding different personalities, a trait that shapes the way she connects with others and contributes as a board member.
Tori Boggess
Tori lives in Ephraim and is passionate about lifelong learning. She is a proud mom of four awesome boys. She enjoys reading, hiking, and traveling whenever she gets the chance. A self-proclaimed foodie, Tori loves discovering great food and spending quality time with her family and friends.
